Join Kate for an immersive day, exploring how she repurposes discarded paper & card to create playful vessel forms. The day will start with an introduction to pattern & mark making. You will carry forward your favourite outcomes & build 3 Paper Vessels.. a jug, a bottle, a vase. After lunch you will choose the form you enjoyed making the most which you will paper mache. You can take some of the paste home to finish your paper mache’ ing.
All materials are provided, please just bring an apron.
The days run from 10- 4.30pm ish
Led by Kate Semple:
Kate works with both Paper & Clay as mediums to create Sculptural vessels. With an interest in the relationship between both materials & how one informs the other. Collections often integrate the two disciplines with a focus on Light, Shadow & form & how the pieces interact.
