Tuesday Evening Life drawing session led by Kim Coley
Kim is a well-known and much-loved local artist and qualified teacher.
For 12 years she has taught life drawing at Sunnybank Mills in Farsley with artist Mel Davies and we are delighted that she has agreed to lead the regular weekly sessions at The Limes Art School.
Sessions will run regularly in 6 week blocks from September but we have decided to do a taster 4 week block of sessions to run through June.
Dates for this half term are: 10th, 17th, 24th September and 1st, 8th 15th October
The sessions will run from 7-9pm and will be run on the traditional format of warm up drawings followed by a longer pose/s.
On the course you will learn observational skills and be given the opportunity to develop them using a variety of drawing exercises.
You will also be encouraged to experiment and play with media and ideas to develop your own expression.
The classes are for all levels of ability.
Kim will be there to teach, guide, and encourage participants on a one to one basis so you can have as much support as you wish. If you just want to come and benefit from the life models and get on with your own thing that is fine.
Easels, boards, newsprint and charcoal are provided, cartridge paper will be available to buy by the sheet. Please bring any more specific equipment or materials you might want to use.
Group size is limited to ensure quality of provision so please book early to avoid disappointment.
The cost for 6 sessions is £150 and is payable on booking.
If after the first session you find it is not for you, we will be happy to refund the remaining 5 sessions. (However, after that, I am afraid we will not be able to refund any missed sessions as we will still need to pay our models and tutor).
