Katie’s love of art began at school. After completing a foundation course at Camberwell School of Art, she continued to develop her painting alongside a successful career in publishing. Since retiring early, she has devoted herself fully to painting, studying at Heatherleys School of Art in London and under Paul Gildea with The Tite Street Group.
In 2023 Katie won The People’s Choice Award in the Barnes Artists Living with Trees Art Show and in 2022 the Maze Gallery Best Abstract Award in the Barnes Artists Living with Water exhibition. Twice a finalist in The Diana Armfield RA NEAC Prize for Drawing from Observation and winner of The Chelsea Arts Society Green and Stone prize for Best Oil Painting and The Boécho Gallery Prize for Best Pet Portrait. Her paintings have been featured twice in Country Life magazine and Lloyds Choir centenary publications.
Katie has exhibited at The Mall Galleries, 54 The Gallery, Cecil Court and The Pepper Gallery in Mayfair and Piccadilly; 340 Kings Road Gallery, Chelsea Town Hall, Green & Stone Gallery, The Chelsea Arts Club and The Royal College of Art; The Daggett Gallery and The Old Bakery in Notting Hill Gate. Castle Coole in Enniskillen, Moorwood Art and Greening the Earth Gallery in Somerset; The Hurlingham Club, WWT London Wetlands Centre, Barnes Art Fair, and Luma in South West London.
