Wednesday Afternoon 1.30-4.30pm
Weekly Drawing and Painting Classes: 11th, 18th, 25th Sept and 2nd, 9th, 16th October
Sarah Pearson has 15 years’ experience of teaching and lecturing in art and design. She has a BA Hons degree from Central St Martins and holds QTLS teaching status having completed her PGCE whilst lecturing in 2009. She is passionate about art and design, in all its forms, and, although classically trained, she encourages experimentation with media and techniques.
The weekly Wednesday afternoon painting and drawing course is suitable for artists who have little experience or who are feeling a ‘bit rusty’ and wish to go back to basics and develop their skills. Each week Sarah will introduce a different aspect of drawing/painting through demonstration and reference to artists and art history. There will be plenty of time to practice and experiment with one to one support. The aim is to have you feeling much more confident by the end of the term in working with a range of media and techniques, ready to go onto the next stage.
To start with methods and techniques will be taught in water-based and dry media. A materials and equipment list will be provided. (Basic equipment is provided).
Sessions run from 1.30-4.30pm, with a mid-afternoon break.
Sessions are offered in 6 week blocks @ £30 per week ie £180 for 6 half day sessions
