Discover the art of collagraphic printmaking in this immersive two-day workshop. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced printmaker, this class is designed to spark curiosity, stretch your hands, and build confidence with texture, layering, and creative experimentation.
Over the two days, you’ll:
- Explore a range of card collagraph techniques, experimenting with cutting, embossing, layering, and texturing
- Design and build your own unique textured plates using diverse materials
- Ink and print from your plates, learning how pressure, ink consistency, and paper choice shape the final image
- Experiment with variations like different papers, multiple colours, and monoprint inking to change mood and effect
- Share progress, ideas, and encouragement in a relaxed, friendly environment
All materials are provided, including card, textured elements, adhesives, inks, papers, rollers, and presses, you just bring your enthusiasm (and perhaps a packed lunch).
Led by Jenny McCabe, an experienced and engaging tutor, the workshop celebrates playful experimentation, “happy accidents,” and the joy of learning through doing. By the end, you’ll leave not only with your own handmade plates and a small edition of prints, but also brimming with ideas and inspiration for your next creative adventures.
Delicious locally sourced lunches and refreshments are included. If you require any help with accommodation please contact
