Over 2 days you will have the opportunity to dive a bit deeper into basketry and make a Catalan base basket, handbag or shopper using a pre-made hoop to weave a Catalan based basket using traditional basketry techniques. This course is for those with some experience of basketry. Good manual dexterity and strength means it might not be suitable if you have any issues with your hands such as arthritis.
The techniques that you will learn include using a hoop to make a double Catalan base, waling, randing, trac or rod border and adding a traditional wrapped handle or you will have the option to add a leather handle which will carry an additional charge paid directly to Fiona.
Delicious home made lunches and refreshments included. Please contact sarah@thelimes.online if you have any special dietary requirements.
