Booking Terms: The Limes Art School (2024)
Bookings can be made online via the website: www.thelimes.online.
To book your place, you will need to pay in full when requested on the booking page, – you can use any ‘normal’ credit or debit card or PayPal.
You will receive a mail confirming your booking, including your booking reference number. This an automated mail and will arrive within a few minutes of making your booking.
In the unfortunate case that a course you are booked on needs to be cancelled for any reason, we will be in touch before the course start date and refund you your course fee.
If you find that you are unable to attend the course for any reason let us know as soon as possible :
– with 6 weeks or more notice from the course start date we’ll refund all monies paid – less a non-refundable element of the deposit to cover admin (£50 for courses of 3 days or more, £25 for courses of 2 days or less)
– with less than 6 weeks’ notice we will try and fill your place. If we can fill your place, then you’ll receive a refund less the deposit. However, if we are unable to fill your place unfortunately your payments will be forfeited (this is to ensure we are able to pay our suppliers and tutors). You may wish to consider taking out insurance to cover this eventuality.
You may swap your place with anyone you like, though please do let us know in advance.
General Course Information
When arriving at The Limes if the gates are closed, please use the intercom to be granted access. Drive up the avenue of trees and past the house on the right follow the road round behind the stable block where you will find parking and the studios which are signposted. Everyone is welcome to arrive a little early (I suggest 15-20 minutes) to get ready for the start of the session. Finish times vary please refer to the course information.
If you are arriving by train, it is a 5–10-minute walk to the Limes. If mobility is an issue, we may be able to arrange someone to collect you from the station, please contact Sarah to enquire.
If your course includes lunch, please do let us know of any special dietary requirements at least a week in advance by emailing: sarah@thelimes.online
For most courses we’ll send out a materials list from the tutor around 4 weeks before the course. If materials are included in the fee this is mentioned in the course details. Even if materials are included, please feel free to bring your own favourite equipment and/or materials if you wish.
Many of the courses involve time working outside in the grounds and local countryside or you may want to enjoy the outside space during breaks, please do make sure to bring suitable clothing, footwear and maybe a small bag to carry your kit.
