Courses & Workshops @ The Limes
We have now been up and running for 4 months and what a time we have had! It has been truly amazing and, although we have been incredibly busy, we have loved it all, the energy and buzz that is created when like-minded people get together to be creative is intoxicating and we have been moved and buoyed by wonderful feedback from our visitors. Johnny and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and getting to know locals at the wine club, weekly art classes and life drawing sessions. We have also loved meeting all the wonderful of artists who have been coming from around the world to take part in the workshops with our amazing talented artists and makers. Who knew the reach of social media would mean we have welcomed guests from, USA, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands as well as from all around the UK. Credit goes to the artists and their popularity.
We are grateful to Emerson Mayes, James Naughton, Jill Ford, Rose and Spade, Braythorne Baskets, Derrick Santini and Kim Coley for their wonderful courses and support in our first few months. We look forward to many more creative opportunities and working together.
Workshops with visiting artists and makers.
It is very important to me that all our workshops are led by artists and makers who are not only experts in their fields but are also experienced educators who are enthusiastic about sharing the secrets of their practice and techniques.
I am always on the lookout for potential new collaborative opportunities so do get in touch if you feel like you might fit the bill.
Upcoming workshops include new artists such as Lesley Birch who is running a workshop ‘Improvised Florals’ in October, Decoupage under glass with Alex Stewart Carter and ‘Abstracting the landscape’ with Erin Ward in September. Also new workshops with Braythorne baskets, photography with Derrick Santini, Printmaking with Emerson Mayes, Oil Painting/Landscapes with James Naughton and before we know it will be Christmas and we will be wreath making with Rose and Spade.
Our regular weekly art classes will continue to run on a Wednesday and Life Drawing on Thursday evening. Johnny’s new dates for Wine Club will be announced soon.
Other workshops will be added to the programme throughout the year so please sign up to our mailing list to be the first to receive dates and news.
The studios are purpose built and materials are provided for workshops, however, please feel free to bring your own equipment if you like.
